On Paper vs. Reality

"We have dedicated teams!"
Do you though?
On paper: Yes, there's a team roster with names and roles.
In reality: Those same people are also on three other projects, reporting to two different managers, and responding to whoever shouts loudest.
This is one of the most common failure modes I see in agile transformations.
Organizations create the structure without creating the conditions. They name the team without protecting the team's time and focus.
And then they wonder why agile "doesn't work."
The truth? You can't have dedicated teams without dedicated leadership alignment first.
Dave Sharrock and Peter Maddison discuss what actually works when you can't get perfect team structures in our latest episode.
